“The hotel's chief appeal lies in its unbeatable location directly across from Gare de Lyon, a boon for train travelers. Rooms are compact and well-maintained, and the inclusion of a hot breakfast takes the edge off Parisian prices. I think its proximity to transport and key attractions makes it a practical base, despite ongoing exterior work.”

convenient location easy breakfast
I found the location convenient, situated just across from the Gare de Lyon. A good cafe across the street provided an easy breakfast option! The staff spoke excellent English, and I appreciated that.
The air conditioning kept turning off, causing the room to become quite cold at times. This was a little inconvenient.
Rooms
8/10
The room was not very big though it was quite clean, and the bed was fairly comfortable for a good night's rest. The size was adequate for my needs. Free water in bottle was provided.
Service
9/10
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They even provided a map with the sites. The reception desk had operators available 24/7, and I found them to be very accommodating, helpful for navigating the area.
Facilities
10/10
The hotel offers a safe in the room, providing added security for valuables. This was a relief. There is an elevator and it was always available. Breakfast was good!

Slightly Below Average Stay Near the Station
small room shower leak
The location really is convenient. It is close to the train station, so I could get where I needed to go.
The room I got was small, typical for this type of hotel, I suppose. The shower, though, leaked all over the bathroom floor every time I used it. There were coffee and tea supplies in the room, but no milk or tea bags, a pointless addition.
